The JARI simulator is used for the evaluation of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and in-vehicle information systems (IVIS).
JARI also developed augmented reality vehicle (JARI-ARV) in order to understand accident causation mechanisms by reproducing traffic conflict situations. Various evaluations using JARI-ARV are carried out in JARI test field for active safety research which consists of straight road sections and various types of intersection. Actual vehicle tests of ADAS and IVIS conducted in the test field as well. These state-of-the-art equipments which can contribute to active safety research will be introduced.
